Beach House Group Applicant Privacy Policy Summary

This policy applies to personal information collected by Beach House Group and its family of companies during the recruitment and hiring process. Personal information is information that identifies you or reasonably can be linked to information that identifies you. The policy applies on the websites and mobile services (i.e. mobile apps) for the Beach House Group family of companies where it is posted. If you are offered and accept a position with the company, this information will become part of your personnel file and its use will be governed according to our internal associate policies and procedures, and the terms of this policy will no longer apply.

We collect information directly from you during the recruitment and hiring process. This includes information that you give us when you create a profile in our application system, and information you provide when you apply or interview for a position.

Information Collected From a Device Associated With You or Your Household
We also collect information from you automatically when you use our website or mobile services. This information may not identify you personally. For example, we may collect IP address, browser or operating system information, and referring website. Our websites may use cookies, which are small text files stored on your computer that help us to maintain your session or provide other interactive features. You can turn off cookies through your browser. However, turning off cookies may limit some functionality of the site, such as changing the layout of your personalized content. The site may also use web beacons, which allow us to know if you visited a certain page.

Information We Collect From In-Store Technology
We may collect your personal information from technology we use in our stores, such as our facility cameras. We operate cameras in stores and corporate facilities for security and operational purposes, for example, to help us improve the design of our stores to better serve our customers and associates.

We may collect your personal information from another organization within our corporate family of companies.

Information Collected From External Third-Party Sources
We receive information about you from third-party sources to assist us with specific employment-related activities. For example, background reporting agencies may conduct background checks on our behalf and provide their results to us. Your Rights

You have the right to ask Beach House Group for a copy of your personal data, to correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data; and to obtain the personal data you provide in a structured, machine readable format.

In addition, you can object to the processing of your personal data in some circumstances (where we don’t have to process the personal data to meet a contractual or other legal requirement).

Where we have asked for your consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. If you ask to withdraw your consent to Beach House Group processing your personal data, this will not affect any processing which has already taken place at that time. There are exceptions to these rights so that access may be denied, for example, if making the information available would reveal personal information about another person or if Beach House Group is legally prevented from disclosing such information. Relevant exemptions are included in both the GDPR and in local data protection laws. We will inform you of relevant exemptions we rely upon when responding to any request you make.

Any aptitude tests taken form part of the application process but are not solely determinative of your outcome or success.

Where we require personal data to comply with legal or contractual obligations, then provision of such personal data is mandatory: if such personal data is not provided, then we will not be able to manage the recruitment process or meet obligations placed on us.  In all other cases, provision of requested personal data is optional.
